Facts About the 32nd National Veterans Wheelchair
Games During the week of June 25 - 30, 2012,
Richmond VA Medical Center and the Virginia Mid-Atlantic Chapter Paralyzed
Veterans of America will host a week of exciting athletic events, where some
of the top wheelchair Veterans will come to dispplay their athletic
abilities.
During the Games:
-Nearly 600 Veterans with disabilities are expected to
compete.
-17 competitive events including: quad rugby, archery, table
tennis and basketball.

-Athletes travel from across the United States, as well as Puerto Rico and
Great Britain to participate.
Volunteer
Volunteers play a critical role in the success of the 2012
Games. Close to 3,000 individuals are needed. There are many
volunteer opportunities including:
-Assisting with athletic events
-Serving Meals
-Handing out water, towels and ice
Almost Anyone Can Volunteer
Interested participants must be at least 14 years old and be
willing to pitch in and help our athletes for at least four hours any one
day of volunteering.
